On September 18, 2020 Deputy Sheriff Kayla Shoffner answered a call of a reckless driver in the Franklin Farms area on Highway 7 South.
Deputy Shoffner came in contact with, and ran the license plate of the vehicle. The information returned that the vehicle had been taken from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and had been used in a robbery/homicide.
Later the same day we were notified that the driver, Treshaun Morgan, 19 years old of Water Valley, Mississippi was wanted for possible involvement in the murder/robbery. A warrant was issued for Treshaun Morgan by Oklahoma City for murder.
Treshaun was charged by Lafayette County for one count of receiving stolen property and has a $15,000.00 bond. He is being held at the Lafayette County Detention Center awaiting extradition to Oklahoma.
