New Orleans young jazz lions play modern jazz and hip hop with punk rock as Yung vul. Led by guitarist and singer, Dominic Minix, the quartet combines polarizing genres from modern jazz and hip hop to punk and metal in a brooding yet intimate sound.
The next generation of jazz is punk rock with hip hop. From post-Katrina New Orleans emerges a wave of versatile and open minded musicians with an original voice that integrates the old with the new in a sound that characterizes the adventurous vitality of youth. The quartet recorded Cannonball Adderall at The Parlor Recording Studio in New Orleans. Cannonball Adderall captures the bands wide breadth of influences “somewhere between Robert Glasper and Bad Brains.” (Indiecurrent)
Cannonball Adderall is available for streaming on all streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp, and Tidal
