Looking for a quick getaway? Why not a trip to the Delta for some live music and brews? Cleveland, Mississippi’s annual beer and music festival, Pour Mississippi, will take place from 2–6 pm Saturday, May 8, 2021, the day before Mother’s Day. With live music by Lighnin’ Malcolm, beer tastings, and food vendors, the event will feature Mississippi and regional brewers.
“It’s perfect because downtown will be walking distance to our many local businesses, restaurants, shops, and the new Cotton House hotel,” said Keep Cleveland Boring Event Coordinator, Rachel Carson. “So you can stay downtown, walk everywhere, and you won’t have to drive while you visit the downtown area.”
In addition to the music and beer, two food trucks will be serving the festival. Clarksdale, Mississippi-based Houndog Mule’s Street Diner serves up an authentic Australian food experience featuring meat pies (muddies), gravy fries, and more. Local to Cleveland, Cypress Bread Co. will be serving up pretzels along with their “old-world, rustic breads.”
Some of the beers that will be available at the festival include Boston Beer, Cathead Distillery, Chandeleur, Crosstown, Ghost River, Grind City Brewing, Hop City, Memphis Made, New Belgium, Parish, Southern Prohibition, Stone, Sweet Water, Terrapin, Threefoot, Wicked Weed, Wiseacre, Yellow Hammer, and more.
