Chef Vishwesh Bhatt Continues Unique One-Night Event at Oxford, Mississippi’s Snackbar
Snackbar, Oxford’s neighborhood restaurant and living room led by award-winning chef and author Vishwesh Bhatt, announces the continuation of Food of My People this month. The unique dinner series invites well-known local figures and community members to co-host a dinner with Chef Bhatt, creating a menu inspired by each individual’s cultural background. This month’s installment features Eve Flaschka, Snackbar cook.
Flaschka comes from a Polish-Jewish and Austrian background and grew up experiencing, celebrating, and combining the differing cultures through food. Her goal with this dinner is to deliver each culture to the guests in the same familiarity she had growing up with them.
“Eve is a strong employee on our Snackbar staff, and we are excited to put on this dinner for the Oxford community,” said Chef Bhatt, “Eve has put a lot of hard work into this dinner, and we think everyone will love it!”
“Having the opportunity to work under Chef Bhatt has been a huge honor, and now having the chance to work alongside him in creating this dinner has been even greater,” said Eve Flashcka, “I cannot wait for you all to experience our dishes.”
