A beloved local tradition is growing! The 16th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Bar Crawl, long a favorite community event, is evolving into an even bigger celebration. This year, the event will benefit student veterans and be hosted by the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council, ensuring its legacy continues to thrive for years to come.
The Arts Council is honored that Joe Don Dickey has entrusted this community event to us. YAC hopes that by expanding the weekend to offer a concert and games, it will draw more participants and continue the tradition of raising funds for veterans programs. This year, donations from the pub crawl will support the Student Veterans Program at the University of Mississippi.
Get ready for a jam-packed weekend on March 15 and 16. Kicking things off on Friday, March 15 with Shamrock & Roll, a high-energy concert at The Powerhouse will feature the legendary Steve Poltz.

On Sunday, March 16, the much-anticipated St. Patrick’s Day Bar Crawl will bring the community together once again. The event kicks off at 3 pm and is free to attend, though pre-registration offers participants a chance to win exciting prizes! Crawlers will visit six bars around the Square, completing fun challenges along the way.
This year, we’re excited to showcase local talent in our promotional materials. The official event poster was designed by the talented Allie Landigam, marking the beginning of an annual tradition of featuring local artists. Additionally, exclusive event t-shirts will be available for pre-order, with proceeds benefiting student veterans.
We would like to capitalize on the weekend without students to give our local restaurants a boost because they give so much to their community. The vitality of Oxford living extends beyond baseball, and this expanded weekend celebration offers visitors opportunities to explore and enjoy all that the town has to offer.
So grab your green, get ready to Shamrock & Roll, and join us for a weekend of music, fun, and community spirit!
