Where are you from, and how long have you been in Oxford? I was born in Goldsboro, North Carolina, and my parents moved to Mississippi when I was 18 months old.
How long have you been driving, and what made you start? I’ve been driving a taxi on and off for two years, and I started doing it to make money.
What’s your favorite type of fare? I like the drunkards because they are more fun to hang out with.
Have you ever picked up a celebrity, or do you have a favorite customer? I look out for my buddy, Kyle Dennis (one of my regulars).
What’s the funniest thing that’s happened while you were on duty lately? On the way to Ivy League this year, a customer tried to pick up a stray. He gave him a name and everything.
What’s your favorite thing to drink when you’re off duty? Rum & coke. **Hiccup**
How do you spend your free time? Do you have any other jobs? There’s such a thing as ‘free time’?!? I no work nowhere else.
Whatcha been listening to lately? The radio—the customer chooses the music, I love it all.
Do you have a favorite movie? The Boondock Saints and The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day
Read any good books lately? Cirque du Freak and Sons of Destiny (both by Darren Shan)
How do you feel about the Black Bear? I think Colonel Rebel and myself will admire a new bearskin rug this fall.
