It’s one of those must-win games.
Just a week removed from defeating then No. 19 Arkansas on the road, Andy Kennedy and his Ole Miss Rebels find themselves on the edge of either moving closer to NCAA Tournament invite status or inadvertently declining the RSVP.
Ole Miss ranks No. 55 in the latest Ratings Percentage Index rankings. The Rebels are 2-3 against the RPI top 35, including wins over No. 32 Arkansas and No. 33 Cincinnati.
Ole Miss (11-7, 2-3) will host Florida (10-8, 2-3) today in a must win game at Tad Smith Coliseum at 5 pm. The Gators RPI is currently No. 77. The game will be televised by the SEC Network.
The charity stripe has been the weapon of choice for Ole Miss. The more times the Rebels can get to the line, the better their chances for winning. Currently, Ole Miss leads the NCAA in free throw percentage, hitting almost 80 percent of their shots.
