How did you get into cooking? I was inspired through cooking with my grandmother.
What is the best thing about your job? I get to work with great people, and I get to serve food that I’m proud of.

What is your favorite flavor combo? Sweet and spicy.
Name three items in your fridge: Milk, beer, sliced turkey.
Where do you get your best recipe ideas? From my grandmother’s old recipe books.
What is the best meal you’ve ever eaten? Fried chicken at Eischen’s Bar in Okarche, Oklahoma.
What is the weirdest meal you’ve ever eaten? Pickled pig feet.
Personal specialties: Breakfast food and barbeque.
Favorite midnight snack: Peanut butter and banana sandwich.
Favorite kitchen music: Metallica, Megadeth, Tool—anything fast and heavy, really.
Who would you most like to cook for and what would you prepare? Gordon Ramsay; fried catfish with sriracha cole slaw and hushpuppies.
Where do you like to dine in Oxford? Big Bad Breakfast, Bouré, Ajax, Volta Taverna
Favorite restaurant in the world: Doe’s Eat Place in Greenville, Mississippi
Aspirations: Attending culinary school. Becoming an executive chef, and owning my own restaurant.
