Capping of an already historic year for the Ole Miss Softball team, the Rebels are headed to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history, which was announced Sunday evening in the bracket reveal of the Division I Tournament.
The Rebels drew a spot in the Norman Regional, hosted by the #3 national seed University of Oklahoma Sooners, which includes Wichita State and Tulsa as the other teams which will compete for a spot in the Super Regional.
Ole Miss, the regional’s #2 seed, will face off first against Tulsa (35-19) at 5:30 on Friday, May 20, with the game being aired on ESPN3.
The winner of the Norman Regional will advance to the Super Regional, set for May 26-29, to play the winner of the Louisiana-Lafayette Regional, which includes the hosting Rajin’ Cajuns, Texas A&M, Texas, and Boston.
