June has been real polite to Oxford music fans, likely due to the constant storming but we’ll take it.
Miss, Taylor Mitchell‘s project born at the late Dude Ranch that he now bases in New York City, released two singles and a demo on his Bandcamp page. Joining the Can’t release, b-sides, and three other singles, you’re in for more of that lo-fi pop the songwriter has come to be known for.
Alex Thiel, the ever-angsty source of vocals and guitarist for Oxford favorite’s Carlos Danger, dropped a lengthy solo EP titled Holiday People!. Thiel describes the release as, “Unreasonably funky.” Cassette tapes will be available on Ben Ricketts‘ Vanishing Imaginary music imprint and, according to Thiel, “there are many reasons that I wish it were 2004 again, and CDs probably don’t even crack the top ten. But I still think they’re cool,” so physical CD’s will be available as well.
Woolgathering released an EP of lo-fi, shoegaze sounds that are sure to please titled Luck Worm. The Follow up to their november release Fall Demo keeps pace with the same aesthetic of high verb vocals and distorted guitars creating a wall of sound to hang out in with your buds. Check out the release over at their bandcamp page along with Fall Demo.
