Oxford Community Market is gearing up for its 2nd Annual Healthy Haunted Harvest Market, sponsored by United Way of Oxford and Lafayette County, RebelWell, the Family Resource Center, the Mississippi Arts Council, Homeplace Pastures, Living Foods, and UM CUB Lab. The free community-wide event is planned for 3–6 pm October 30 at the Old Armory Pavilion during the weekly Oxford Community Market.
This family-friendly event offers plenty of seasonal fun. Oxford Community Market Director Betsy Chapman hopes it brings lots of new faces to the weekly farmers market and reminds people that OXCM will be open for business through December 18.
“We’re planning a really fun event this year and we welcome Oxford families join us, whether they’re weekly shoppers or brand new to the market community,” Chapman said.
“We’ll have a petting zoo, magic show, games, crafts, storytelling, trick or treating, live music, cooking demos, and plenty of delicious food at OXCM’s Haunted Harvest Boo-Ffet!”
Along with traditional Halloween favorites, the Haunted Harvest Market will offer lots of healthy, fun treats highlighting food grown and produced here in north Mississippi.
“OXCM’s Community Nutrition students and RebelWell have been cooking up some fantastic healthy treats for our guests to enjoy,” said Chapman.
