The Werks is Ohio’s premier rock, funk, and trance band. They fuse a unique blend of many musical styles and influences to produce a distinct and powerful sound that audiences crave. The Werks’ original songs explore genres such as rock, funk, jam, electronica, soul, bluegrass, jazz, Afro-Cuban, Celtic, R&B, and dance.
The chemistry between band members has been the key in The Werks’ success. Each member has harnessed his own individual groove with influences as eclectic as their music; some common influences include Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, The Allman Brothers, Phish, Jimi Hendrix, Rush, The Beatles, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pink Floyd, Umphrey’s McGee, and The Grateful Dead.
As their tour radius increases and with addition of former Maji keyboardist, Norman Dimitrouleas, it is obvious that The Werks are turning heads across the US. The success is largely credited to the hard work of their street team as well as to the dedication of the band, their fans and a unique performance, which is affected and manipulated by the energy and soul of the audience, guaranteeing that each show will be different and memorable.
The band has worked with many great acts such as Ekoostik Hookah, Railroad Earth, Lotus, Tea Leaf Green, Papadosio, Badfish, U-Melt, The Macpodz, BoomBox, Freekbass, One Under, The Station, Ultraviolet Hippopotamus, The Recipe, The Spikedrivers, Four Finger Five, Rumpke Mountain Boys, Jam Samich, Burning River Band, Mike Perkins, Covert Operations, The Ragbirds, Back 40, and Sam Bush.
