Idol is about the individual and their journey to the finale!
#IdolJourney – Using this tag we will share across social media and outreach encouraging fans to share their journey, which we will feature on our official site and even on the show!
#BeAPartOfIt – Different than any other Reality Competition Show, American Idol is about the experience. Through social media we plan to start participating early in the audition process and beyond. From drumming up excitement for their favorite auditioners, to social media initiatives such as Instagram video charades and Tweet the best audition song. Fan bases of the auditioners will be encouraged to use the #BeAPartOfIt tag to show their support for their favorite future star. Who’s their biggest fan?!
You Are The Star – Auditioners are encouraged to start documenting their path to stardom via personal videos from the get go. Confessionals and vlog style videos will be collected and highlighted on our social networks. Producers encourage all auditioners and their families to participate in the #IdolJourney.
Lifting the Veil – We will be revealing all the nuts and bolts of what it takes to find the next American Idol. From the initial audition process to the star-studded finale, we will expose the details that fans have been asking for.
#IdolGuitar – Social outreach to stir up excitement about this new addition to Idol. Guitars are, for the first time in Idol history, to be allowed at the early rounds including the Judges round. It should be noted that any audition MUST start with an a capella audition and the use of a guitar after that. Show Us Your 6 String – Is your guitar an extension of you? We will feature the best looking guitars and the people who own them through social media channels. Air Guitar Hero – No Guitar? No problem! We will not only feature the best air guitar performances at the audition cities, but also encourage fans to submit their best Air Guitars on Twitter, Instagram, and Vine. Who is the next Air Guitar Idol?!
