When Trey and I moved to Oxford to begin our married life together, we knew we wanted to grow our own food and eat healthy. This was our first attempt at a meal using vegetables we had grown in the small garden at our new home.
Trey proudly pulled the long-ish carrots from the ground, and I lovingly harvested and carried the Swiss chard over my arm to the kitchen. We carefully washed, chopped, sautéed, and poached our first homegrown meal together. Since then, it’s become a staple at our house. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do! -Amelia & Trey McCain
