The Local Voice Television (Episode One) was produced in 2010 by Thad Lee, Newt Rayburn, and Nature Humphries to highlight some of the bands and musicians from Oxford, Mississippi.
The pilot show includes interviews and music videos by The Cooters, Tyler Keith & The Apostles, Jimbo Mathus, Shannon McNally, Stork & Nick B., Charlie Mars, Junk Culture, Kill the Ego, Tate Moore, Blue Mountain, Bill Perry, The Preacher’s Kids, Avenue Hearts, Sleeping Bulls, Good Paper, Rocket 88, and Brad Hayden.
Plus, there are two documentaries by Tobie Baker, highlighting blues in Clarksdale, Mississippi and the dedication of the “Blues Trail” marker in Como, Mississippi for drum and fife legend Othar Tuner.
This episode also has a comedy short by Deepak & Nitin Mantena (Celery TV).
