Robert Earl Reed, 48, of Sardis, Mississippi, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2013. Mr. Reed was of the Episcopalian faith. He was a devoted father who deeply he loved his children. He loved music and was a musician, singer and songwriter.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 3 pm at Fredonia Methodist Church near Como, Mississippi. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. at the church. Mr. Reed is survived by his wife, Shelley Alred Reed; one daughter, Sadie Elizabeth Reed, and one son, William Campbell-Coats “Coats” Reed, all of Sardis, Mississippi; two brothers, Cole Campbell Bass of Memphis, Tennessee and Kaolin McClendon Bass of New York, New York; and his mother Paula Campbell Bass of Sardis. He was preceded in death by his father, the late H. John Reed.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be sent to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home in Senatobia has charge of arrangements.
