New York City blues rocker Bat-Or Kalo was born in Haifa, Israel and studied classical and jazz music in Oklahoma City. Her first album, Flesh & Bones (2009), garnered critical attention in both Israel and NYC, and her single, “Standing,” was featured in the play Miss Kim. Bat-Or Kalo, who is signed with the local indie label Mission 66 Records, will be recording her sophomore album at Tweed Recording with Andrew Ratcliffe in November.
Zechariah Lloyd, a blues/country crossover artist, has shared the stage with the likes of Jimbo Mathus, Duff Dorrough, and the Burnsides. His solo debut album is scheduled for release in early 2013.
The Proud Larrys’ show is set to be the kickoff for Kalo’s Southern States Tour, and admission is FREE.
