Oxford’s biggest annual event is finally here! Everyone’s favorite weekend full of art, music, food, and fun begins Friday and continues throughout Saturday. The Square will be blocked off, so make plans for transportation if needed. Shuttles will begin running at 10 am from Oxford High School and the University of Mississippi South Oxford Center Parking Garage. Record Store Day

@ The End of All Music
Record Store Day is the biggest event of the year for Oxford’s Favorite Music Shop, The End of All Music. The shop will open at 8 am with exclusive RSD titles, and you can find a list of these special releases online at theendofallmusic.com. EOAM has partnered with Grapefruit, from Water Valley, who will be popping up under the stairs for the day slinging hand-dyed clothes and accessories. The first group of folks in line will get free tote bags stuffed with RSD goodies, as well as free Dogfish Head RSD posters.
EOAM will be giving away four copies of Taylor Swift’s highly sought-after release for free! There will be a drawing for two copies, and the other two copies will be hidden somewhere in the shop on RSD. You must enter the drawing in person. There is no purchase necessary, but if you want to buy some records while you’re there that’d be mighty sweet of you. If you find one of the hidden copies then it’s all yours for free. The drawing for the other two copies will take place at 5 pm on Record Store Day.
Oxford Pride Week

In 2016, Matt Kessler, a graduate student, came to the Sarah Isom Center at The University of Mississippi with a dream of a Pride parade and a permit from the city. Six weeks later, the Sarah Isom Center launched Oxford’s first Pride Parade. Allies rushed forward to march in the parade, and many LGBTQ students were overwhelmed with the love and acceptance they felt on that day. Since then, the event has expanded to include a week full of events celebrating the goals and objectives of Oxford Pride: to continue to provide a space for inclusion for and learning about the University’s and Oxford’s queer community through a combination of social and academic programming, culminating in the Pride Parade on Saturday, April 30. Romeo and Juliet

Directed by Lindsay Rae Taylor, Romeo and Juliet will have performances at 7:30 pm Thursday and 2 pm and 7:30 pm Friday and Sunday. The Friday performance will include ASL interpreting and live captioning; a reception in Bryant Hall will follow. Tickets are $20 for the general public, $10 for students, and $15 for faculty and staff. They can be purchased from the Ole Miss Box Office at the Ford Center.

Local artists from all genres have come together to create a magical event you won’t forget, complete with an art sale and fairy-world lobby display with extraordinary foods and drinks created especially for you. Performaces are at 7:30 Thursday–Saturday, and at 2 pm and 7:30 pm on Sunday. Prices are $12 for students and seniors; $15 for Theatre Oxford members; $20 for non-members.
