In January of 2015, Oxford/Corinth americanacore band The Holy Ghost Electric Show ventured up to Woodstock, NY to record an EP with producer Simone Felice (Avett Brothers, Lumineers). Over a year later, HGES has finally released Sinai, a five-track EP that may hint at the direction of their coming full-length album (also produced by Felice). The EP features everything we’ve come to expect of the band: solid, catchy songwriting in the alt-country vein, bolstered by their energetic ensemble attitude. It feels, as frontman Cody Rogers writes, “that you’re hearing… [a] group discovering who they are and what they will be.” Sinai is available for streaming and purchase at holyghostelectricshowms.bandcamp.com.
