Today the Mississippi Department of Health (MSDH) is reporting 2,746 new cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 24 new deaths. Mississippi’s total of COVID-19 cases since March 11 now stands at 170,672, with 4,041 deaths.
Currently there are 1,125 Mississippians hospitalized with confirmed COVID-19 infection. There are currently 288 people hospitalized in intensive care for confirmed COVID-19.
There are 203 active outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities (where an outbreak is one or more cases among residents or staff). There are 56 new long-term care cases and seven new long-term care deaths.
