There will be a special runoff election in Lafayette County, Mississippi on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, for the newly created County Court Judge.
Because none of the eight candidates running received over 50% of the vote, the top two will face off against each other in the runoff election.
The two who received the most votes on Tuesday, November 8 were Carnelia Fondren (2,432 votes – 20%) and Tiffany Kilpatrick (2,160 votes – 18%).

Election results include 18 of 18 precincts and absentee ballots. There are about 200 affidavit and five day absentee ballots outstanding, but those won’t change the outcome of the election.
