The inaugural MissiHippi Music & Arts Festival will take place August 24, 2019 at Foxfire Ranch in Waterford, Miss. The first festival of its kind in North Mississippi, MissiHippi is much more than just a back-to-school bash—it will feature an incredibly diverse lineup of multiple genres, including rock, funk, hip-hop, EDM, indie, and soul.
The Bud Light Tent will have nonstop music starting 1 pm, including Oxford regulars Inasense (6:45 pm), Anne Freeman & The Garbage Sons (5:15 pm), and Subcontra (3:45 pm)
6:45 pm – Inasense (rap, hip-hop) listen here
“In a sense…we are a group of friends that have an undying love for music. It just so happens that we are also making music that you might love as well.”
5:15 pm – Anne Freeman & The Garbage Sons (indie rock)
Anne Freeman & The Garbage Sons are an indie-rock band based in Oxford, Mississippi. They released their debut album Days Go By in April 2018 and had the release party at End of All Music in Oxford. While Days Go By is a more Americana-folk album, they are already working on their next project, a more “pock-rock album.”
3:45 pm – Subcontra (homegrown jazz-funk fusion)
