On December 7, 2020, investigators with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department arrested 27 year old Blake Alward of Oxford, Mississippi for Felony False Pretenses for passing a $7,000.00 dollar check (bad check) for a vehicle.
A report was taken December 3, 2020 which led to charges being filed by the victim after he tried to cash the check.
Alward’s bond was set at $5,000.00 dollars.
