On August 19, 2020, at approximately 3:15 am, patrol officers interrupted three auto burglars actively breaking into cars in the 2700 block of South Lamar Boulevard.
Officers identified two adult males, Tyler Owens (19 of Oxford, Mississippi) and Kenshawn Harden (18 of Oxford) they also took a juvenile into custody. Officers located multiple stolen firearms and other property in the possession of these men. The property was stolen from victims in the area.
Investigators responded to the scene and at approximately 8:25 am investigators along with patrol officers and agents with the Lafayette County Metro Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant in the 2000 block of Archive Circle.
Inside they found additional stolen firearms and took two more individuals into custody identified as, Ja’Darius Manning (19 of Oxford) and Alaina Webb (18 of Oxford).
Investigators have charged Tyler Owens with 15 counts of Auto Burglary, 1 count of Conspiracy to Commit a Crime, and 1 count of Directing a Youth to Commit a Felony.
Kenshawn Harden is charged with 4 counts of Auto Burglary, 1 count of Conspiracy to Commit a Crime, 1 count of Possession of a Stolen Firearm, and 1 count of Directing a Youth to Commit a Felony.
Ja’Darius Manning is charged with 1 count of Possession of a Stolen Firearm, 2 counts of Possession of a Schedule 1 drug with intent.
Alaina Webb is charged with 1 count of Possession of a Stolen Firearm and 2 counts of Possession of a Schedule 1 drug with intent.
A Justice Court Judge set all of their bonds on August 20, 2020. Owens received a $75,000 bond but will remain at the Lafayette County Detention Center on hold for the Mississippi Department of Corrections. Harden received a $35,000 bond. Manning received a $15,000 bond. Webb received a $15,000 bond.
