The 8th Annual Oxford Pub Crawl is set for Saturday, March 18. The festivities kick off at Frank and Marlee’s at 3pm and wind through a total of seven bars on the Square and ends at The Coop at The Graduate. For the first year ever, the pub crawl has a sponsor and fittingly enough it is Jameson Irish Whiskey.
“I saw that there was an opportunity for Jameson to sponsor the pub crawl and have a chance to connect with the people that participate,” said Amanda Gaz, North Mississippi Brand Representative.
Gaz contacted organizer Joe Dickey through the 8th Annual Oxford Pub Crawl Facebook page and made the offer.
“I was thrilled to be contacted by Jameson,” said Dickey. “They have really taken the ball and ran with it. I know their support is going to make this year’s Pub Crawl even better.”
The sponsorship includes advertising, giveaway prizes, T-shirts, and more. Throughout the crawl Jameson Representatives will be on-site as well as Jameson Shot-Girls to, “make sure everyone gets a sample,” said Gaz.
The Pub Crawl also offers the chance to try out two new flavors: Jameson Black Barrel and Jameson Caskmates.
With all the additions, Dickey is excited for a bigger turnout for the Oxford Pub Crawl than ever before.
“I think we will have a great crowd this year,” said Dickey. “They are growing every year and I don’t see any reason for that to change.”
This year’s Pub Crawl includes Frank & Marlee’s, Proud Larrys’, Round Table, Funky’s, Blind Pig, Local’s, and The Coop at The Graduate.
