In what is now steadily becoming a trend, Saint Leo has been named in the top 50 best new restaurants in America by BonAppetit.com, the Conde Nast-owned food site. As the only Mississippi restaurant on the list, it’s keeping company with shops in Brooklyn, Austin, and New Orleans. On August 15, Bon Appetit will announce the Hot 10 winners.
Saint Leo is by far one of the younger restaurants on The Square. Among longtime staples such as Ajax, Proud Larrys’, and City Grocery, the italian eatery has turned many into regulars and been named a James Beard Foundation semifinalist for best new restaurant.
