Oxford Film Fest is partnered with Pita Pit through GroupRaise to help support the year-round events the festival plans to host. These events include touring the festival throughout the state, hosting workshops, as well as other educational courses.
“The company [GroupRaise] approached us and since all 3 restaurants currently working with them are among our favorites anyway, we decided to try it out,” said Melanie Addington, Executive Director of Oxford Film Fest.
To make your donation, simply go to pita between between 10 am–11:30 pm and place your order. Mention Oxford Film Fest at the counter and follow the restaurant’s instructions to complete your support of Mississippi arts.
If you can’t make it to Pita Pit today, there are two more of these partnerships already planned. Living Foods will partner up for May 10 from 2–7 pm with Casa Mexicana following suit on June 12 from 4–8 pm.
“If they are successful, this is a great model for us to raise funds to help with our festival while also promoting our local restaurants and getting people to get out and be social,” said Addington. “We had previously done this on our own with The Growler and really enjoyed it so I hope to see more of these pop up!”
