A deep, family connection is what many in our community feel for the offerings of the Oxford Park Commission. Many of you have seen your children raised through the help of an instructional class such as karate, fencing, gymnastics, lacrosse, tennis, volleyball or wrestling.
Sports such as soccer, baseball, flag football or softball may have been the activities that really made a difference in the lives of your family.
OPC annual special events attract participants and people of all ages to them. There is nothing as fun as watching a child dress up like their favorite Marvel or DC character for our annual Superhero Training Day. And who doesn’t like to get their pictures taken with Santa or the Easter Bunny on a yearly basis?
OPC Leisure Lifestyles classes have definitely made a dramatic impact on the participants that attend on a regular basis. Friends and memories have been made in great number through the LLO, and we want that to continue at an even higher level.
All of the sports, classes, events and activities that are provided through our department can become even more special to your family, business leaders and others in the future through our newest initiative, See My Legacy.
There are ways to donate money to special projects, teams, events, camps and more. Community members can sponsor the tennis courts or the courts inside both the Coach Howell and Oxford Activity centers. There are also annual tennis and Pickleball tournaments you can sign up to sponsor.
“It is important to us to bring in community members, for them to play a role in them helping out, by giving them opportunities to be in front the crowd in our community,” OPC Executive Director Seth Gaines said about what See My Legacy can provide a business or philanthropist. “We feel like See My Legacy will help provide that opportunity for them to help meet their audience and provide for the services we have in place.”
The possibilities to help the OPC improve what we have now are nearly endless. We hope you will investigate the See My Legacy QR code, and ask us additional questions about the site or the campaign.
