Timothy Herrington Jr. of Grenada, Mississippi
On February 11, 2025, Timothy Herrington Jr., 22, of Grenada, Mississippi turned himself in to law enforcement to be arraigned on the charge of Tampering with Physical Evidence (MS Code 97-9-125(1)(a) in relation to the body of Jimmie “Jay” Lee being located and postively identified through DNA analysis by the Mississippi State Crime Lab last week.
The judge has set Friday, February 21, 2025, for a bond hearing regarding Herrington’s new charge in addition to the original charge of Capital Murder.
“We will continue to work tirelessly on this case to see it to the end,” said Oxford Police Chief Jeff McCutchen.
