Jacob Wayne Tomason 36 years old of Thaxton, Mississippi.
On October 25, 2024, the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Unit received a report from a victim regarding missing funds from their bank account. The Lafayette County Criminal Investigation Unit began an investigation and discovered that $6,595.00 was stolen from the victim’s bank account and used on a Green Dot Card.
The transaction history was requested and the suspects were identified while using the card from video surveillance footage.
The suspects, Jacob Wayne Tomason 36 years old of Thaxton, Mississippi, and Tyler Chase Pardue 25 years old of Thaxton, were arrested on November 12, 2024 and charged with False Pretenses.
Tomason is currently on Parole and is also being held by MDOC.
Both suspects appeared before a Justice Court Judge on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 and each received a bond of $10,000.00. Both suspects are being held at the Lafayette County Detention Center.
